The Combination Of National Music Elements And Modern Composing Technique

The twentieth century is a creative and flourishing age in the history of musicalcreation. It is an age which represents the composers of modernist school and theircompositions. The modern composing techniques which are created by them have adeep meaning on musical history. Among those composers, the Chinese AmericanChenYi who has a good reputation in the international musical circle is one of themodernist school representatives in China in the1980s. The article is to analysis thecreative characters of Piano lude “DuoYe” from different aspects. Then, I would liketo study the composer’s creative technique which is the combination of westernmodern composing techniques and our national musical elements. The aim is to get anaccurate knowledge of the combination and do a little contribution to the developmentof Chinese piano music. Thus, it can offer some beneficial enlightenment to the pianomusic composers and the performers of “DuoYe”.
