Study On The Influence Of Popular Culture On Constructing: Chinese Television Play Spirit

Since the1990s, along with the rising of the modern mass society inside the ChineseReform and Opening-up, the mass cultural ideas have been spreading rapidly, which alsostrongly influenced and shocked our cultural undertakings. Compared with traditionalcreative concepts and methods, productions of our TV plays, due to the influence madeby the mass cultural ideas, showing an obvious change from content to form, and fromconnotation to surface as well. In particular the spiritual structure of characters, it hasdivorced from the pure spiritual pursuits required by the traditional aesthetic meanings,and being secularized. The spirit of secularizati on materialized the spirits of the characters made by the plays in the mass cultural age. This disordered phenomenon is,however,leading the descending of our plays’holistic cultural quality. This paperinvestigates and discusses the spiritual structure of our plays during these twenty years.Among them, the first part is introduction. Mainly elaborated the research origin,research purpose and significance.The second part is the main body part. Among them,the first chapter, the popular culture and the Chinese drama spirit construction. Thechapter is divided into three parts, discusses the connotation and characteristics of massculture; TV play spirit construction essence; TV characters mental performance under thebackground of mass culture. The content research and provide a theoretical basis. Thesecond chapter, the mass culture on China’s TV character spirit construction effects. Thischapter is the main part of this thesis, discuss from the mass culture under thebackground of China’s TV characters the overall appearance of the spirit, respectively,from the characters, characters and language of characters on three aspects of popularculture on Chinese television drama produced negative impact and influence the way andeffect. The third chapter, the mass culture in the context of China’s TV spirit perseveres.This chapter is the present paper research purpose. The influence of mass culture onChinese TV play, the secular spirit appears many new changes. In the continuation ofthese new changes based on the following TV series spirit home on China’s TV futuredevelopment will produce tremendous and far-reaching effect. This paper also tries tofind the last stand of Chinese TV play the spiritual home of the method and way.
