| The vagrancy theme in literature had been generated since ancient times. From theOdysseyã€Don Quixote, as well as the20th century’s master piece of "wilderness" inthe Western literary world, to the “hidden world of mountain and water†in TaoYuanming, Li Bai, and some other Chinese ancient writer’s eyes, and still to the“remnants†images in the writing of Yu Dafu in the May Fourth period, vagrants, alongwith their very own wandering temperament and ideological level, have never beenstopped. Since the vagrancy theme is a worldwide literary motif. And now comes to thenew period of Chinese literature, the1980s and1990s, this surge of literary wave ofre-emergence of attitude and outlook is more rich and prosperous. Chinese literature inthe new period have emerged a large number of stray awareness of writers and literaryworks that constitute the theme of wandering that maintain the performance of this themeduring this special period of time. Zhang Chengzhi, Zhang Wei, Wang Shuo, Zhu Wen,Ba Qiao, San Mao, as well as a large number of writers who reflect the Chinesecommunity life in foreign worlds, all those writings and works is the main object ofstudy attempts to analyze and explain its inner spirit and literary significance. Althoughthis group of writers is not only the Romantic school, but also realism class writers, andliterature genres is from novels to essays,ranging from a wide range of themes. Therewriting perspective, writing themes and direction are not the same, however, in theirbody, there is an identical temperament and spiritual core, that is, the Rangers’consciousness. No matter the cosmopolitan "heroic" characters, or people that hidden inthe marketplace a small town in the little ruffian, or the one who alone wandering in theexotic city-state, they are all belongs to the wandering theme in literature.In this paper, except the Abstract, Introduction and Conclusion, there are totally fourchapters.
