A group of maverick nurtures in every age, their presence has profound socialreasons. Social form and ideological field of the United States and Japan have undergonea drastic change in Mid-20th century. Some American young people gathered in NewYork, try a different lifestyle. They discussed the philosophical, religious, literarycreation, this group is referred to as the "Beat Generation", in China, and we call the"Beat Generation". Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac Jacques, William Burroughs are theirrepresentatives. Across the Atlantic, Japan, writers who suspicious of authority and evenresistance, brazenly performance decadent have also debut. Their presence is not onlycaused the resonance of many readers, but also adapts many Japanese’s the ideologicaland emotional that tried to find a new spiritual way out after the war. Rouge factions,Shintaro Ishiharaand, the Nobel Literature Prize winner Kenzaburo Oe are the mainwriter. For some reason, in China the "Beat Generation" and the Japanese writers havenot been fully recognized and understand, most people concerned about the deviant,degenerate, and alternative life in these writers’ works, but not the deep concern thesubstance of these acts. With the development, it was found that there are too manythings need to re-examine in the world. Therefore, the "Beat Generation" and DazaiOsamu, Kenzaburo Oe, are comparative studied in this article. The differences ofliterature, psychology, social and cultural are depth analyzed so that people would realizethe literature in two countries. This article can have some practical significance.This article is divided into seven parts. First, the introduction describes the currentsituation of "the Beat Generation" and writers such as Dazai Osamu in China, Illustratingthe basis of comparative studies. The first chapter, a brief description of the historicalbackground of the "Beat Generation" and the Japanese writer: the "Beat Generation" andwriters such as Dazai Osamu grew up after World War II. The second chapter, theliterature development of the "Beat Generation" and writers such as Dazai Osamu areintroduced, comparing their similarities from four respects, including: fallen rebel, thepursuit of freedom and humanity, anti-traditional literary forms and andante-herocharacters. In the third chapter, differences of the "Beat Generation" and writers such asDazai Osamu are analyzed in three respects. Chapter IV shows the relationship between literature and psychology, decrypting of "the life impulse by the collapse of the system ofsuppression and social spirit " is the psychological roots of the two literary. Chapter V,we analyze the enormous cultural differences reflected behind literature. Thesedifferences can be summarized as three major areas: individualism and collectivism,optimistic self-confidence and feelings of inferiority, pro-active and passive acceptance.Finally, the practical significance of this study is outlined.
