In recent years, the Central Committee of CPU attaches great importance to thedevelopment of technology and education, and also implements the strategy of technologyand education and talents. The innovative ability of science and technology has beenimproved has been strengthened gradually and the quality of education has been strengthenedgradually. Thus quality education has advanced steadily. As an important element of thequality education, the mental health of primary school students has become the hot spot of thewhole society. To strengthen the mental health of primary school students is imperative.As has been shown in previous research, mental health is affected by many factors,including parental rearing style and child self-concept, which are the two most importantfactors among them. The previous research has been mostly focused on exploring theparenting styles, self-concept and the mental health of children. The research combining allthe three elements is still blank.Parenting styles affect not only individual mental health, but also the formation ofself-concept of children. Therefore, this study has been hypothesized on the basis of the study:self-concept of parenting styles on the predictive effect of psychological variables. The ratingscale used parental rearing (EMBU), Piers-Harris Children’s Self Concept Scale(PHCSS)andthe Mental Health Test (MHT) to test search tool. A total of608subjects from third to sixthgrade in two primary school, Shijiazhuang, Hebei are selected, which are focused onrespectively parenting, children’s self-concept and mental health status. Based on dataanalysis, it verified the intermediary role of the self-concept in parenting styles on thepsychological health.The thesis put emphasis on the impact of parenting style on children’s education, andinvestigated the influential elements and instructive strategy of self-concept and mental healthin the growing process.
