The Compactly Comment on Du Fu’s Poems was selected and edited by ShenDeqian, who was the leader of the poetic circles in mid Qing Dynasty. Although thebook contains not too much comments, but it hits the most important spot. The bookis one of the best selected works for Du Fu’s Poems in mid Qing Dynasty. The studyabout this selected works is not enough, so this collection is relatively thoroughresearch in hopes of making a slightly contribution for Du Fu’s poems study.This theses is divided into four chapters.In chapter one, the paper introduces the evaluation and the background of TheCompactly Comment on Du Fu’s Poems, and the book version of this selected works.The background of the book included political background, academic background andthe advanced development of printing trade. Among these, academic background wasthe most important reason, which included the controversy about the object of studyby Tang Poems or Song Poems. These promote the birth of The Compactly Commenton Du Fu’s Poems. This selected works in Qing Dynasty had two versions. Thecommon one was Fu Xian Thatched Cottage version in Twelve Years of EmperorQianlong.In chapter two, the paper researches Shen Deqian’s poetics purport through thecomparison between The Compactly Comment on Du Fu’s Poems and The Elite ofTang Poems. About the choice of Du Fu’s poems from The Compactly Commenton Du Fu’s Poems, we analyses from three aspects: Firstly, Shen Deqian chosen thefrequency of Seven Words Poems to show his hobby. Secondly, Shen Deqian chosena high proportion of poems which depict the large and strong objects. Thirdly, in thechoice of Du Fu’s poems about travel record, compared with lofty style of layparticular stress on recording landscape poetry. These reflected Shen Deqian wasinterested in grand and magnificent style poetry aesthetic. The Elite of Tang Poemsreflects much more choice and the close relationship among Du Fu, Han Yu, Bai Juyiand Li Shangyin’s poetry, and chosen the heptasyllabic verse more Han Yu’s poetry,and Bai Juyi of new poems more, Li Shangyin’s law heptasyllabic verse more, and DuFu just is the blazer of the poems. Shen DeQian wanted to choose poems to highlightDu Fu"pathfinder" status,In chapter three, the paper introduces characteristics showed in the poetic ideas. First, introducing the style and characteristics of selected works; Next it will comparethe comment of Shen Deqian with the comment of WangWan.Through thesimilarities and difference further explored Shen DeQian’s poetics idea. This book’scomment is concise and comprehensive, and the combination of comment and textualcriticism. Through the comparison with Wang Wan, it can prove that Shen Deqian hadrigorous attitude, and his orientation was more justice, his language was simple tomoderate. About the viewpoint of Du Fu’s poems, mainly includes four aspects, sevenwords Metrical Verse is the first-class in Du Fu’s poem set, the poems’ art ofcomposition and syntax are very special.In chapter four, it simply analysis about the selected works in the impact of futuregenerations. Shen DeQian wanted to promote the cause of studying Tang Poems.Because of Shen’s identity and status, it really got good response, and a lot of peopleturned to study Tang Poetry. At the same time, there were also against voice. Theyadvocated to break down the line of Tang and Song Dynasty. What’s more, ShenDeqian’s precise choose, The Compactly Comment on Du Fu’s Poems attracted manyscholars’ attention, not only who preferenced in Tang Poems, but also a lot ofsupporters for Song Poems. They commented on the book and recorded the others’in this book. Both of them shows that ShenDeqian had the unique vision and that alsoshows that the vitality of Du Fu’poems.
