As a mirror of the development of the society, new words and expressions are getting more and more attention from experts and the public, and becoming one hot spot of linguistics.On the basis of many experts’ work as well as some first-hand data, the author worked into them and concluded some rules of them. It is promoted by social development; cultural psychology and linguistic factors that6ways of forming new word6ways of forming new words can be concluded:additional morphology; composite word-building; words shorten; afferent signification; rhetoric word-building and new old words. Besides, new words of the language shows polysyllabic change; simplification of category structure mode; family of words; material characteristics of diversification. Also, they present outstanding feature of time. As to the different standpoint for new words, the paper listed and evaluated at the last section.The innovation of this paper lies in the following:first of all, my data is from the latest new words and expressions released by the ministry of education and other authorities, thus, the analysis is close to daily Language living conditions. Secondly, it is from sociological, science of the culture and linguistic that analysis their causes, it’s a comprehensive explanation; Thirdly, its viewpoint is objective and fair. In addition, this paper is insufficient in these:First, it is limited to space and theme that I failed to make new words and expressions all meticulous and overall analysis; Second, because the lack of new words and expressions reference for the overall object, my paper appears with a certain groping feature.
