China’s Tatar national minority (hereinafter referred to as the Towerfamily) is a cultural identity of East and West "cross-border ethnic" alsoknown as cross-border ethnic, has the least population in Xinjiang. Tatarfolk songs (hereinafter referred to as the Tower family of folk songs),with its outstanding characteristics blooming splendor in the Xinjiangfolk music, it enjoys a fame of the wonderful work it enjoys a fame offolk music. The study of the folk song and its inheritance of the Towerfamily is an important measure to protect the rich history and culture ofthe Tower family. However, with the globalization nowadays, the livingenvironment of folk songs by the severe damage.Since the20th century,some scholars collected and researched the history and culture of theTower family, but less involved in the study of music and its heritage.Facing with the situation, I outlined five aspects to deep explain in orderto offer more vivid information to the historical development of Chinese folk music.The five aspects are as follows: first is the general conclusionof Tower family’s folk music.second is the survey about the heritage offolk music in Xinjiang area.third, the comparison of folk songsaccording to different geographical features. forth, the contribution andprotection of the folk songs. last is the measures to disseminate the folksongs.Through the study on heritage of two places, Tacheng and OizumiTatar Township detailed the heritage respectively to reveal the differencesof this two places. Besides, trying to dig the internal reason behind themusic as well as to rethink the problems within the heritage.As aresult,trying to find a good way for the well develop of the folksongs.Meanwhile,I used the information published by the Russian kamountainous region,and investigation by using both literature and theethnomusicology unifies the research technique and investigation to findthe differences and similarities of the folk music in Xinjiang and kamountain areas. When making conclusion of its development andinheritance,I found out the lost and retained features and tried to makeuseful contribution to the protection of cultural heritage. Last but not least,I’m appealing for the concentration of whom has the same belief, wemust work together to protects the Tatar folk song and make it morebeautiful and gorgeous.The main contents of this paper include: 1, Overview of the Tater folk songs. It mainly focuses on thebackground of Tatar folk songs, besides,discuss the types and features ofTatar family.2, Investigation of the heritage of folk music in Xinjiang. Thissection describes the history of Tacheng City and Oizumi Tatar Township.Besides,the investigation of heritage and analyse the problems duringheritage.3,Comparision of the geographic features in Tatar ethnic between inXinjiang and Kazan, folk songs characteristic of the comparison betweenthe two places, summed up the problems faced by the heritage.4, The contribution of the folk song by heritage carrier.
