The unique regional culture has eternal vitality in history, also it occupies animportant position in the temple of literature. Ma Jia is a famous Chinese writers inthe modern. His works with distinct northeast regional characteristics were loved bythe majority of readers. His novels show the living of the Northeast People. Such asNortheast People’s struggling history with tears and blood in the nineteen thirties. TheYanan’s cadres sacrifice their life in order to establish the northeast base. The farmersliberate themselves in the Land revolution to greet the new life. The people leave hishometown to join the Korean War, then come back to create homes. These picturesrecord history of the northeast people,such as humiliation and fight, pain and joy.The thesis analyzes Local features of Ma Jia’s works. It is divided into four parts.The first chapter describes contact with novels of regional culture and introduces whyhe likes to show the northeast region characteristic. Because of the majority of thewriters in the May fourth movement period like to write regional characteristics of thework, Ma Jia loves his hometown and establishes himself on the regional culturalcreation.The second part describes Regional characteristics in detail. Such as the folklore,language and characters, that can be point out his works bleed into the Northeast soil.The third chapter highlights the uniqueness of Ma Jia’s works. We can finddifferences In comparison Northeast writer,such as Xiao Hong and DuanmuHongliang. So we can more in-depth understanding of Ma Jia’s novels.The fourth chapter highlights the contribution of Ma Jia’s novels in the northeastand the whole literary history. To show his own unique in combined with thecharacteristics of the times at the same time.
