The Study Of The National Characteristics Of Piano Accompaniment In Wang Zhixin’s Vocal Music Works

Wang Zhixin created hundreds of the Chinese national vocal music works inhis life, these works play a very important role in our national vocal music, andevery single works is full of strong Chinese ethnic characteristics and dramatic color.His vocal music works usually accompany with the perfect piano accompaniment,which combines the wisdom and talents of him. So the accompaniment itself has highartistic value and research value. With the innovative vocal music theme and the timesand distinctive ethnic characteristics, his works have been widely sung and wellreceived by people, and the academic community has also given a lot of recognition.However, it seems, more researchs focus on his vocal works itself, not the pianoaccompaniment. The author believes that as an important part of a song, theresearch value about theory and practice of the piano accompaniment is alsoimportant. It undertakes the tasks of the second creation, and plays an important rolein the interpretation of a song. Must we take In-depth study of the pianoaccompaniment, then can we express the national characteristics in vocal works better.The thesis begins with the overview of development of the piano accompaniment,and compares them in domestic and foreign art songs. The author believes that theinquiry will help us understand the background and origin of Wang Zhixin vocalworks better, and help us analyse the piano accompaniment of his works better. Then,I proceed from the sheet music of the piano accompaniment of his vocal works. And Istudy its harmony, texture, prelude, interlude, and ending, etc., to explore nationalcharacteristics in these aspects. Finally, I want to integrate theory with practice,explore that how to Interpret national characteristics better in the practice ofaccompaniment, so we can express the characteristics of Chinese folk music morethoroughly.
