Related to the research about cognition linguistics, the prototype theory has become the theory which the educational world pays attention. Along with the cognition linguistics’s development, it begins more and more important day by day. Overseas already started this research in the1970s, domestic linguist began to introduce it in late1990s, afterward its concrete research also gradually launches, which involved the semantics, the syntax, the pragmatics and lexicographical paraphrase. This article takek cognition semantics’s prototype theory which is the hot spot in Chinese semantics research recently-as the key point combine with the practice of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, it planned to solve the following problems:1use the prototype theory of family similar characteristic, it studied the value and significance in word’s meaning analysisment, so it can remedy the shortcoming and insufficiency of element analytic method.For "the petrochemical" the phenomenon reflected in learners of taking Chinese as a second language, it plans to use the prototype theory to study the characteristic and the reciprocity of words that are belong to the same category.then it give the teacher some suggestion that they can change the teaching sequence of the words that belong with the same category, so it can reduces and avoids "the petrochemical" the phenomenon occurrence.In addition, because of the repeatability, practical drill and boredom in language learning,when learners who take Chinese as a second language had learned a certain amount of words especially with the "the petrochemical" the phenomenon occurrence, their enthusiasm retreats, their interest lose, some customs even gave up continuing to study Chinese.Therefore, the author proposes "the immersion type" teaching method:when the teacher use the the prototype theory to teach the words that are belong to the same category,they should pay attention to the interactive way and necessary games when needed oThe author thought that we use prototype theory in theory research and teaching practice is a beneficial attempt to apply the modern semantics research results in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
