"Superman" And "Perfect Person"Literary Exploration On Nietzsche’s And Zhuangzi’s Ideal Personalities

Zhuangzi and Nietzsche are two of the most outstanding philosophers from the East and West in different times. In their masterpieces, some ideal personalities conveying their theories the most must be created, such as "Perfect Person" from Zhuanzi’s and "Superman" from Nietzsche’s. Meanwhile, Zhuangzi and Nietzsche are both talented litterateurs. While expressing philosophical ideas, they prefer to combine bald philosophy with literature by creating ideal personalities with vivid stories and all means of literary tact, rather than adopt some traditional ways like logical reasoning.Nietzsche’s philosophy is against metaphysics and academic, while Zhuangzi’s philosophy is focus on "Taoism". So the literary methods they use are to convey the message of their philosophy, and the ideal personalities they build are to express their free realm in their philosophy.This paper is aimed at researching how Nietzsche and Zhuangzi create the two ideal personalities from a literary view, why they use these literary methods, how the methods affect, and what roles they play in expressing their theory.
