This essay studies the generative theory of the universe, theory of immortal soul and politics of community in Platonic philosophy, and builds a complete picture of universe-community-individual. The entire universe is created to be a self-sufficient one. It is built under the will of the Maker, follows the model of the unchanging and no-becoming one and elements from the visible world is its materials. The existence of community and the birth of human being are both contained in the creation of the universe at first. Human being is the most special one in the whole world, for it is the combination of immortal soul and mortal body. The different structure of men’s souls make various types of persons in one community that they do jobs correspondingly, in order that how they live fit the nature of their souls and brings the community justice.Under such a picture, this essay studies the concept of freedom, which is to do what you want or do as you want, and also defines the philosophical category of "what you want". Then the essay moves forward to study in a physical society how to practice such kind of freedom:to build a healthy body and mind, to care and know yourself, to practice good things makes virtue and how to practice good things. At last, the essay discourse what is the reality value of doing research on the Platonic freedom to the contemporary people.
