Appellation is an important tool for interpersonal communication,it has practical value, along with research value,so it should be explored. Appellation rooted in the community, being affected from all aspectsss----culture, political background, traditional practices.Some appellation emerged,changed,extinctted in the history,every change can reflect changes in social background, ethical culture, values and the national psychology.The appellation "teacher" belongs to the sub-system of Chinese appellation system-Social appellation, as a native Chinese appellation word, it contains the meaning and emotion behind it, has the appropriate political background, education systems, cultural traditions to support.In this paper, based on the previous research, mainly use the diachronic and synchronic methods to research the appellation’s evolution and induced mechanism. Firstly, start with the semantics and pragmatics,concerns the lasted transmutation process of "teacher",discuss the changes of its meaning on the timeline; Secondly, from the internal of the language extends through to the external, objectively describ in modern communication, the specific features of "teacher", combined with changs of people’s attitudes and the the appellation’s features to analysis the reasons for its generalization.Finally, focus on the comparison of "teacher" with the appellations "Sir","Master,""Teacher", analysis the similarities and differences of the similar appellations, optimize use of contemporary Chinese language... |
