Research On The "Zhou Yi"’s Influence On Liu Xizai’s Aesthetic Thoughts

Liu Xizai, a scholar in late Qing dynasty, had strong thought of classics. Heresearched classics in his whole life.He put an emphasis that scholars shouldunderstand the main purpose of the classics. and gave priority to Qiongjing.He putforward the literary thought that discuss the poemsand articles according to the Yi.LiuXizai was deeply effected by the philosophical ideology of ZhouYi.When he explained thedevelopment and substance of literature and art,and analysised the character and rules of artworks,he was also inspired by zhouyi. His works were based on Yi,and made articles according toYi. The philosophical ideology of Zhou Yi provided Liu Xizai’ literature and art with philosophicalideology.No more than,his philosophical ideology of literature and art evolved according to thespace system of Zhou Yi.Therefore,only better understand the effection of Zhou Yi ’philosophicalideology to Liu’ s literature and art, can we comprehend Liu’s ideology system of literature and artcompletely.This paper discusses some issues about the essence of literature,the main body ofliterary creation and the law of beauty of treatment of Yin and Yang, to discuss the inheritance anddevelopment of ZhouYi that Liu’ aesthetics.In terms of literary essentialism, Liu interpreted literary essentance with Zhou Yi. He putforward the viewpoint "the combination of poem and nature"，the aesthetic rule was the unity ofnature and human being. He thought literature and art is the result of the sum of heaven and theearth, and the unity is the harmony of same and the difference, on this basis, throughthe specific phenomenon and the abstract subjects in Zhou Yi to discuss therelationship of the content and the form of literature and art.In the aspect of the main body of creation,Liu Xizai explained the things and myself duringthe process of literature and art creation through Zhou Yi whose thought was acquire thephenomenon by observing things. at first,and put an emphasis on the main body of creation duringthe process of creating literature and art,Liu put forward the brilliant quality is the instinctivequality,noble quality was the precious quality, people should treasure the reality.He made arequirement on main body of creation such as the method of creation,the temperature,moralquality and intelligence, He came up with the view point that "the quality of poems came from the authors’ quality.","the quality of book and the character personality theory,＂etc.In the law of the aesthetic appreciation in the treatment of Yin and Yang,Liu Xizaicomprehend the point of view that all thing went forever,to discuss the the thought of unity thatincreasing and decreasing of Yin and Yang.Liu based on "the treatment of Yin and Yang."as histheory, to explain the transforming relationship of the unity of Beauty and the opposition of beautyduring the process of creation on literature and art.Thatis,procreation and returning.Meanwhile,Liualready noticed the importance of timing, put forward the literay and art theory that the timing iscrucial for the development of literature.He thought the existence and development ofproduct of literature and art as dominant ideology of aesthetic is closely linked withthe timing.The literary and artistic works ought to be marked by era to some degree.
