A Study Of Hume’s "Sympathy" Theory

Hume’s theory of sympathy from the dual relationship betweenimpression and idea transformation theory foundation forknowledge, through experience to study the psychologicalmechanism of producing process of sympathy, compassion theoryto moral phenomena in study, to exploring the source of moralcharacter, moral judgment and moral reason and basis. In theperception part, mainly to explain the impression and idea,self-concept in sympathy with the formation conditions and effectsin the theory of emotion theory; in the passion part, to theimpression and idea and self concept as a base, three basic on therelationship between psychological mechanisms of sympathy. Inthe moral part, to distinguish the nature of moral judgment, moralroot according to sympathy psychological mechanism producedresults, the formation of moral orientation.
