Research On Ethical Problems From Psychological Consultation In Independent Colleges

Recently, university students’psychological problems are becoming more serious because of intense social competition and heavier life pressure. Among the students in independent colleges, some students were forced to quit the school, suspend their schooling, hurt themselves, commit suicide even become the criminals because of their serious psychological problems or unhealthy psychology. Therefore, independent colleges set up psychological consultation rooms gradually. And the work of psychological consultation is on the road. However, ethical problems in psychological consultation do not draw attention from colleges and consultants, which will greatly influence the effect of consultation. What’s more, it will not good for the future development of psychological consultation in independent colleges.This paper take the independent college-Science and Technology College HNUT as the example to analyze the ethical problems in psychological consultation. Combining with its practical situation, the paper proposes the countermeasures to solve these problems. This may throw light on the future development of psychological consultation in independent colleges. The first part is to introduce the background, importance and innovative points of the paper. The second part has a probe on characteristics of ethical problems in psychological consultation. This part completely applies knowledge of ethics to have analysis of ethical problems. The third part combines the current situation of psychological consultation with its ethical problems to have deep analysis of the problems and reasons. The problems are keeping privacy and informed consent. The fourth part put forward the countermeasure of establishing on-line psychological counseling to solve the problem of protecting the students’right of privacy and reputation. From the angle of standardizing the work of psychological consultation and carrying out the students’right of informed consent, this part puts forward the training system for the consultants. This part also gives the countermeasure of combining psychological consultation with ethical education to improve students’moral character. All of these countermeasures are for the quick and good development of psychological consultation in independent colleges.
