Try To Analyze The Opposite-and-complementary Adverbs

This paper studies on the opposite-and-complementary adverbs. This kind of adverbs is two single syllables and the opposite meaning of words together. Through diachronic conditions, its ingredients gradually evolved from word to morpheme, and the combination also has begun to have the adverbial function, which formed a kind of united compound. There are many scholars having also talked about this kind of adverbs, but mostly just a word in research and incomplete research. The author attempts to reveal the synchronic features, evolution mechanism and internal motivation by doing some research into synchronic and diachronic conditions, trying to further and benefit the development of the opposite-and-complementary adverbs research.This paper is divided into three parts:The first chapter, there are three aspects, namely "the significance of research","the research status of opposite-and-complementary adverb" and "the research scope and methods". It introduces the related research achievements, and establishes the scope of this research:WangZiqiang Modern Chinese Empty Words Dictionary (1998), HouXuechao Modern Chinese Empty Words Dictionary (1999), ZhangBin Modern Chinese Empty Words Dictionary (2003), ZhuJingsong Modern Chinese Empty Words Dictionary (2007).The author researches objects from four dictionaries above. The objects need to be studied comprehensively through synchronic and diachronic investigation, and by the following ways:description and explanation, compare and analysis and individual study.The second chapter, there are four aspects, namely "the type","the features""compare two words:shizhong and yizhi" and "compare two words:duoshao and shaowei". In the svnchronic investigation, the author concretely analvzes the opposite-and-complementary adverbs, sorting these adverbs from some different perspectives, summarizing the characteristics of these adverbs, and the individual studies further understanding of the characteristics.The third chapter, there are five aspects, namely "the diachronic evolution process of chizao and cognitive study","the diachronic evolution process of zaowan and cognitive study","the diachronic evolution process of shizhong and cognitive study","the evolution mechanism and factors about phrase changes to word" and "the mechanism about word changes to empty word".The author concretely analyzes the opposite-and-complementary adverbs in the diachronic investigation. This part specifically describes the diachronic evolution process of the following three words: chizao, zaowan and shizhong to reveal the mechanism coming from cognitive standpoint.
