Currently, there mainly have been two models of film management system, being knownas Film Classification System and Film Censorship. In terms of legislation, the formerbelongs to a laissez-faire administrative management while the latter, a parent-controlling one.Due to the differentiations of economic performance and ideology, each region runs its ownmodel. Many veteran top-notch players, as well as successful film-producing countries,execute the Film Classification System. Surprisingly, it impulses the development of localfilms in return. On the contrary, in order to control national ideology, some less-developedregions prefer Film Censorship. As an irreversible trend, it is for sure that the FilmClassification superiors to the Film Censorship from the perspective of developmentregularity of films.Chinese Film Censorship has already been a great hindrance for the development ofdomestic films. To name a few, for film-makers, the Film Censorship makes them suffer fromtoo many limitations; for the audiences, the Film Censorship deprives their rights to bevisually-enjoyed.; and for teenagers, the Film Censorship does not erase violence shown infilms. In the process of globalization, it is a must-do to open the Chinese film market. And inorder to better achieve that goal, one should aware and confront the awkward position.Through the experience of numerous countries, Film Classification System can actually reacha multi-beneficial situation. So in the author’s point of view, it will be a flexible improvementfor Chinese film system.
