On The Hero Image Strategy Of The New Century’s Military Legend Teleplys

Military legend teleplays are one of the most important aspects of the pluralization of military teleplays in the new century. After thriving for years, it has gained some certain pattern and has many viewing audience. It also shows new essence in many ways, like views of creation, art skill and esthetic orientation, which successfully make up some images of heroes that are quite unique and attractive.This dissertation is going to study the most popular military teleplays in recent years, combining narratology and the artistic nature of teleplays, to discuss the hero image strategy of military legend teleplays. Under the multicultural context, hero image shows new characters, like legendary, individual, earthly and ethnic. And it achieve a balance in a variety of cultures. The military legend teleplays use some typical models, like "Five tiger general","Charisma typical " and so on, to create the group of heroes and individuals, and to create a dramatic kind of tension to portray heroes among various relationships. On one hand, military legend teleplays put tragic idea into the procedure of hero-make, arosing the mercy sympathy of audiences by showing the hero’s sadness and a noble feeling by the death of the heroes. On the other hand, they also put comedy element into the dramas, to show the hero through witty and humorous languages and actions. And those form the heroic aesthetics contains sadness and joy. Military legend teleplays realize a historic breakthrough, which really makes sense to creating heroic images in the teleplays. However, there are still limitations of this kind of teleplays.
