In recent years, chorus has made great development in China. The problem Chorus faces today is about how to improve rather than popularize it. The key of improvement is to popularize the overall use of the staff.The application of the staff in choral music reading has become the crux of further development of China’s chorus. In our country, the urgency of the use of the staff makes the staff reading education a project that should not be neglected. This paper explores it.This paper focuses on the staff and Chinese Chorus development, staff and numbered musical notation, analyses the difficulties in popularizing the staff domestically and figure out measures, which will benefit to the popularization of the staff in the country as a whole.
