The Investigation And The Religious Study Of The Folk Deity Belief In Jiaodong Longkou Region

The thesis aims to sort out the relevance between folk belief, the populace and rural society, to reveal the conditions, characteristics, mode of affection and action of folk belief of Jiaodong Longkong region.Started from the object of folk deity, I explore the deities worshipped in folk temples, villages and families. By depicting and summarizing them, I propose a new question, are the worships and sacrifices to ancestors, totems and holy spirits belong to deity worship? By explore the features and characteristics, a definition should be raised on the living form of the popular worship towards deity. After comparing the two different definitions, a conclusion is made that folk belief is represented in a mixed religious state. More importantly, it represented in a flowing way. Base on the characteristics of the liquid, we found the features of folk belief is mixing, diffusing and flowing. Therefore, we got the reason of the characteristics of the folk belief. After the discussion of the causes, I summarized the interaction of the folk deity and the populace. Through this interaction, the social structure, economy and culture was reflected, the folk autonomy, order and relations were represented as well.
