This thesis is mainly to discuss the differences of ink figure paintings created by Xu Beihong and Jiang Zhaohe from two aspects such as differences in creative thinking and differences in language forms. In terms of creative thinking, Xu Beihong combined the classical with romantic art thinking, while Jiang Zhaohe was realism art thinking. Differences in language forms were mainly discussed from three aspects, one being the differences in picture composition between the two, where the composition of ink figure painting created by Xu Beihong was unified under a three dimensional space with the local two dimensional plane so that the picture was in the same space and time. Wheras the picture composition of "Knave figure" by Jiang Zhaohe was unified by two dimensional scroll with the local three-dimensional space, where the whole time and space of the picture was flowing. Second, there were differences between the picture images, where Xu Beihong was affected by the western classicism, with more pursuit of the classical aesthetic characters, whereas Jiang Zhaohe images took the real people in real life as the main object of performance. Third, there were differences in ink and color between the two, where Xu Beihong’s ink and pen was mostly improved on the basis of traditional Chinese lyrics techniques, while Jiang Zhaohe’s ink was derived directly from the sketch on the basis of calligraphy pen, with the groundbreaking performance of ink and pen. The colors in the ink figure paintings created by Xu Beihong draw lessons from the western paintings, with the enrichment in the expressive force of the picture, while in the ink figure paintings created by Jiang Zhaohe, the colors were mostly supplementary to the ink, where the coloring method was unified with the application of pen and ink. From the two aspects of differences in creative thinking and differences in language form on pictures, the ink figure paintings created by the two main representative figures in "Xu Jiang system" have been summarized.
