The Study On The Qing Poetry Collection In Hangzhou

In the literature history of Qing Dynasty, the prosperity of compiling and inscribing local poetry is a representation of the self-awakening of consciousness of regional literary tradition. Hangzhou is a famous historical and cultural city. Combining with other local poetry collections, The Qing Poetry Collection in Hangzhou constructs the regional literary tradition of Hangzhou. This paper is based on The Qing Poetry Collection in Hangzhou and other documental materials, such as historical records, anthologies, chronologies, especially the books collected by Nanjing Library. In order to research the value and significance of The Qing Poetry Collection in Hangzhou, this paper is divided into four parts. Chapter One restores the background and process of compiling and inscribing The Qing Poetry Collection in Hangzhou, investigate the relationship among local poetry collection, cultural family and private book collection. Chapter Two analyzes the writing pattern of biography and the phenomenon of writing on the same topic, seek the compiler’s strategy and standard. Chapter Three purses the potential impact on The Qing Poetry Collection in Hangzhou by regional literary tradition of Hangzhou, study the way how regional literary tradition of Hangzhou is written in The Qing Poetry Collection in Hangzhou, In order to reveal the relationship between local poetry collection and regional literary tradition. Chapter Four inspects the damage caused by the Taiping rebellion and the flourish of compiling local literature after the war on the basis of biographies and poetry.
