Research On Poetry Collection Of Annalistic Styles’ Compilation On The Kangxi Period

Poetry collection of annalistic style is a special collection of poets’ works in chronological order,which was born in the Song Dynasty.Because it has the advantages of investigating the origin of the poet’s deeds,knowing the decline of the world movement and examining the positive change of poetry style,it has attracted much attention of the Qing people.The practice of compiling chronological poetry collections also reached a real peak in the Qing Dynasty.The Kangxi period,as the transition from Shunzhi to Qianlong in the early Qing Dynasty,was also an important stage in the development of the poetry collection of annalistic style of the Qing Dynasty.This thesis will be divided into four chapters to make a preliminary study and textual research on the chronicle poetry compiled by Kangxi period.The first chapter mainly investigates the historical background of the birth of the poetry collection of annalistic style of the Kangxi period in the Qing Dynasty.Taking the "Bo Xue Hong Ci Ke" opened by Kangxi in the early stage of Kangxi and the oral instructions on the"Wanshou meeting" in the 42nd year of Kangxi as the two nodes,the cultural policy of the Kangxi period can be divided into three stages:trapped in the turbulent social environment in the early stage,it basically continues the cultural policy of the Shunzhi period;In the medium term,talents were recruited to attract celebrities,and the cultural atmosphere was gradually relaxed;At the end of the period,the autocratic imperial power was used to control the cultural atmosphere.This complex background provided good conditions for the diversity of compilation forms of poetry collection of annalistic styles in the Kangxi period.The second chapter systematically combs the compilation form of poetry collection of annalistic style in Kangxi period.From the editor’s point of view,there are mainly two kinds:self editing and other editing.He compiles poetry collections.The main undertakers are the descendants and students of the poet,with the participation of colleagues and other special relations.In terms of chronological form,there are two kinds of chronological forms:the chronology of main branches and branches and the chronological year.The chronological form of main branches and branches is divided into three main expression forms:"the following main branches","from main branches to main branches" and a simple list of main branches and branches;The chronological title and chronology inherited the tradition of the Song Dynasty and often attached the deeds of poets.Some of the late Ming Dynasty’s adherents will mix the year names of the Ming and Qing Dynasties to record the year together.In terms of the collection form,the internal leading of the chronicle can be divided into four forms:one year,one volume for several years,diversity combination and multi-body combination.By comparing with the poetry collection of annalistic style of the previous generation,it is pointed out that the poetry collection of annalistic style of Kangxi period has the characteristics of diversity of author identity and refinement of chronological content.Based on the rich compilation forms,the third chapter investigates the compilation motivation of poetry collection of annalistic styles in Kangxi period.Under the background of the separation of "Dynasty" and "wild" in the Qing Dynasty,there are three main reasons:the subjective preservation of history by poetry,the dissemination of ideas and the objective political requirements.These two motivations are not only related to the special background of the Qing Dynasty,but also related to the conditions for the birth of chronicle poetry,which is the result of the extreme development of poetic theory and chronological factors.The fourth chapter summarizes the value of chronicle poetry anthology in Kangxi period.Corresponding to the three motivations of keeping history with poetry,transmitting ideas,and objective political requirements,the annals of the Kangxi period also have three main values:supplementing historical materials,reflecting the changes and preferences of poets’ poetic style,and exploring the development context of the annals of the Qing Dynasty.First of all,for poets who do not contain official history and lack of materials,chronicle poetry is their only and direct source of historical data.Secondly,the thought of "taking poetry as history" in the Qing Dynasty makes the relationship between poetry and history very close.Most of the records related to the official history that will appear in the poetry collection of annalistic style are the poet’s personal experience.Whether in the detail of the process or the richness of details,they have very obvious advantages over other historical records.It can be used as a supplement to historical records.Finally,the appearance of the poetry collection of annalistic style of the Qing Dynasty is based on the compilation practice of the poetry collection of annalistic style of the Kangxi period.The annals of the Kangxi period provide us with valuable ideas to continue to study the vast annals of the Qing Dynasty.
