Study Of Mo Youzhi And His Short Lyrics Of Shadow Mountains

A Chinese scholar, poet, calligrapher, bibliographer, bibliophile, by the name ofMo Youzhi, is a great Confucian of the culture of Gui Zhou, a southest province ofChina, has touched literary world from late Qing Dynasty to Generation Next. In theancient culture of Guizhou, Mo Youzhi is one of important pioneer and inheritor. Hisillustrious achievements prove he was, is, and will always be prevalent in our literaryworld. The present paper aims to give a full account of the poet and his work the ShortLyrics of Shadow Mountains.In order to study the Short Lyrics of Shadow Mountains, I will discuss fromfollowing aspects.The first chapter unfolds over account of Mo Youzhi’s life story andpersonality，from the background of that time and academic background of theenvironment to demonstrate his creative thinking and unique style of the Short Lyrics ofShadow Mountains. The second chapter focuses on the research into the Short Lyrics ofShadow Mountains contain various themes from agriculture to love. Those themes mayreflect his thought at that time. In the third chapter, I studied his unique style of shortlyrics though compare his short lyrics to his poetry.Based on the former chapters’research, the last chapter will be devoted to the comment on Mo Youzhi’s theory ofshort lyrics.
