Since the theory of Subjectivity and Subjectivisation has been introduced into Chineselanguage, researches of Subjectivity in Chinese gradually deepened. At present, theresearches foucused more on the grammaticalization of a word and on the Subjectivityshowed during this process from the lasted angle. In addition, some scholars analyzed theSubjectivity of different parts of speech and their roles in the chapters.“Verb+Complement” plays an extremely important role in the Chinese language system.So taking this structure as representative of the Subjectivity of modern Chinese is feasibleand credible. We can find out that analysis of a structure from a subjectivity point of viewis very lack. Many in-depth discussions are necessary.This thesis is divided into six parts, to clarify the concept of subjectivity in modernChinese from another point and to define the usage of subjectivity of the“Verb+Complement” through semantics, syntax and pragmatics.The first chapter is the preface, to define the significance of the topic of this thesis, theobjectives and scope of the study, current researches, and the theory and methods, as wellas the corpus source.Chapters II to V analyse the “Verb+Complement” through semantics, syntax,subjectivity. We will have a general comprehending of the situation of subjectivity inChinese language. And then we’ll figure out the the role of expression of“Verb+Complement” in pragmatic, and on subjective feelings, attitudes, opinions.The last Chapter summarizes the full texts. And explain the problems which havebeen sloved and need to be solved in the future.
