In recent years, conference interpreters are in demand as the number of international economic forums and conferences increases. Then, further researches on such conference interpreting are essential because the conference consecutive interpreting requires proficiency in language skills, vocabulary, knowledge of the event and interpreting quality, etc. This thesis is based on the present author’s consecutive interpreting practice results of one press briefing of the2012IMF annual meeting and a panel of the2012Summer DAVOS annual meeting. The case analysis was carried out through comparing interpreting recordings with the original video scripts. By analyzing problems in the interpreting process, the present author/the interpreter summarized how to improve the interpreting performance. It is hoped that these efforts may be helpful to the future improvement of the interpreter’s professional skills, and that the experience gained there could make some suggestions to other language learners and interpreters.
