A Practice Report On C-E Interpreting Of The 2018 Reception For Delegates Of Mizuho Bank Of Japan

On 26 th October,the first China-Japan Cooperation Forum for The Third-Party Market was jointly held at Beijing.As a major energy state-owned enterprise,against this backdrop,Cai Jibo,the president of SUMEC Group,and Zhang nu,the general manager of Sumec Japan subsidiary were invited to attend this forum.As a financing party,the delegates from Mizuho Bank of Japan took this forum as an opportunity to make an on-the-spot investigation of Sumec Clean Energy Co.,Ltd.The author served as on-site interpreter at this reception for Cai Jibo,the president of SUMEC Group and delegates from Mizuho Bank of Japan.On the basis of this practice,this report introduces the background and features of the task,and then illustrates advance preparation as well as the process of task.The author puts emphasis on difficulties and relative coping tactics during interpreting process.Post-task evaluation is made by the author as well to improve further performance.In order to analyze the author's personal difficulties in interpreting,some specific cases are selected.These difficulties are technical terms,long and difficult sentences,expertise knowledge,improper expression,memory and notetaking.To address these difficulties,the author also illustrates some coping tactics:omission,addition,fuzziness,paraphrase and replacement.At last,the author makes a conclusion of this practice in a bid to put forward necessary requirements for a qualified interpreter.
