The Study On Narrative Pattern Of TVB’s Criminal Investigation

TVB is renowned to be the greatest television production center with a good reputation, its level and pattern has represented the higher level in Hong Kong area and even the entire Chinese community to some extent。 Criminal investigation is regarded as one of the most popular representative subjects in TVB, its prosperity and decline is strongly associated with changes of historical background and innovation development of narrative pattern。This thesis take TVB’s criminal investigation as research objects, and analyze from narratology and culturology in order to explore successful model and problems from the development of this kind of TV series.This paper is divided into four chapters, the first part mainly summarizes the definition of TVB’s series and its characteristics, and states the history and current development of TVB and the encounter difficulties at present.The second part is mainly summing up the characters in criminal investigation. The third part is using narratology theory to analyze narrative strategy in detail from the point of the theory of narratology and culturology. The last part of the paper summarizes problems in TVB’s criminal investigation drama progress and advices of future development are put forward from the author’s suggestions in order to explore the outlet for TVB in predicament and find the solution for its development.
