| "Peng Detective" is the novel in the end of Qing Dynasty, which is a famous chivalrous koan one following "Shi Gong" and "Chivalric Heroes". It is combined by the detective and chivalrous themes, and retains the existing elements of them.The book describes the Penggong’s stories about how punishing corrupt despot and greenwood bandits under the help of gallants, creates such chivalrous characters as Li Qihou, Huang Santai, Yang Xiangwu, and Ouyang De etc., mostly belonging to the fictional plot.Due to historical objectivity that is produced by chivalrous detective fiction, it gains wide following after its emergence and generates a lot of renewals, and even a continued adjourned.Although the research about "Peng Detective" starts relatively early, it is generally investigated together with "Shi Gong" and "San Xia Wu Yi", which means an independence research for "Peng Detective" is not sufficient. Based on previous researches, this paper intends to sort out the basic situation, types of characters, plot settings, related drama and storytelling as well as its impact of "Peng Detective". The fundamentals of "Peng Detective" relates to its author, Penggong in the history, its sequel and the spread version of "Peng Detective". From the character types of the original version of "Peng Detective" in the first one hundred chapters, they can be divided into officials, Greenwood, bullies and robbers.The whole story is interlocked by six heroes contexts of the Peng’s private visits, joint union of Greenwood and official runners, the union between locals, parties and marriage among heroes, and also merged with such four categories of cases: murder, theft case, case of rape and case of conspiracy. "Peng Detective" has a further development in local opera, Peking Opera, Han Opera and storytelling,and also has a certain influence on the chivalrous detective novels, martial stories and detective stories. In this paper, the author unifies the relative literature materials of "Peng Detective," and synthesizes the relevant information, hoping to provide some help for the further study of "Peng Detective". |
