Ethics Analysis Of The Current Domestic Moral Indifference Phenomenon

Moral indifference is a sort of negative moral phenomenon in the current society. Nowadays, the moral indifference is not individual problem, but a social problem which directly affecting social justice and the construction of harmonious society in the development process. Thus, to analyze and solve the moral indifference is not only enrich the theoretical research on the moral sentiments, but also has the great significance to the construction of socialist moral civilization.Based on the theory of ethics, the paper uses knowledge of relevant courses such as sociology, pedagogy to discuss the issue. The paper will be divided into three parts:Part one:Firstly, the moral indifference divided into two types:bystander apathy and recipients apathy. A large number of examples have been reported which shown that the phenomenon of social and moral indifference seriously. Secondly, the hazards of moral indifference will be described which lead to alienation and distrust of the relationship between people, and impact the harmony and development of the whole society.Part two:This paper will analyzes the existence of moral indifference. First of all, the moral indifference exits due to the impact of economic change, the lack of moral education, the lack of network moral and negative influence of traditional culture, the deviation of moral evaluation and improper of moral reward and punishment. Second, moral subject (individual) is lack of compassion、justice and mercy, moral responsibility out of position, and the marginalization of the value of life, all those elements lead to the moral indifference.Part three:In this paper, some recommendations and measures will be given to solve the problem of moral indifference. In the first place, individual should raises moral awareness through the moral education, trains moral feelings by the emotional mechanism, and standardizes ethical behavior via the correct moral judgment. Secondly, to building a good ethical environment, moral subject should pay more attention to social morality construction and the environment of public opinion. Thirdly, samaritan acts will be encouraged by the healthy moral reward and punishment mechanism. Fourthly, the implementation of moral responsibility will mainly depended on the supervision mechanism of internal conscience. Finally, individual should exercises of the moral rights properly and has faith in the consistency of morality and happiness.
