Objectives To find the influences of social rejection and to explore what processing of self-reflective can reduce the pain of social rejection.Methods Experiment1, using social rejection recall paradigm to social rejection manipulation,40college students volunteer subjects were randomly divided into rejection and acceptance group, with mood and self-esteem as indicators of social pain. Extracting the level of mood and self-esteem of the two groups of participants in the survey to compare two groups of participants mood and self-esteem level whether there is a difference and to verify whether social rejection arise social pain. Experiment2,83participants from a vocational college of Henan province attended the experiment. Participants first were cued to recall an refused experience, then they were randomly assigned to one of four experimental conditions:abstract-evaluative, abstract-contextual, concrete-experiential and control condition. Extracting the level of mood and self-esteem of the two groups of participants in the survey to compare four groups of participants’mood and self-esteem level whether there is a difference.Results (1) The feeling of happiness of social rejection group and social rejection group has significant difference (t=4.468,p<0.001). The feeling of anger of social rejection group and social rejection group has significant difference (t=-4.225, p<0.001). The feeling of sadness of social rejection group and social rejection group has significant difference (t=-8.428,p<0.001). The feeling of anger of social rejection group and social rejection group has significant difference (t=-4.225,p<0.001).The hurt feeling of social rejection group and social rejection group has significant difference (t=-3.246,p<0.01). The level of social self-esteem of social rejection group and social rejection group has significant difference (t=3.419,p<0.001). The level of agency self-esteem of social rejection group and social rejection group has significant difference (t=8.453,p<0.001).(2) The levels of moods and self-esteem of concrete-experiential, abstract-evaluative, abstract-contextual and control condition have significant differences (p<0.001). Conclusion Social rejection induced social pain, and concrete-experiential condition reduced social pain.
