Youth is the future and hope of the motherland, and the task of socialist modernization construction will be done by them. If young people have no sense of shame, the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is impossible. Primary and middle school students does not have the mature and independent personal evaluation system, so their judgment of the self, others and society most rely on the basic standard of value of social advocacy. And the children of this age are in a critical period of personality development and individual consciousness awakening, so the social environment will be has very an important effect on young people’s physical and mental development. So we must strengthen the education of youngsters’sense of shame, in order to improve their view of the socialist concept of honor and Disgrace, and provide value premise to foster positive emotion, create a fundamental impetus to develop good behavior. In summary, we need to an in-depth study of youngsters’ sense of shame, In order to promote the education and development of youngsters’sense of shame.This study follows the question, literature, study design and implementation, result, confirm assumptions and processing of ideas, the preparation of the Youth Shame-proneness Questionnaire and its overall shame status, gender, grate, account type etc. and the core self-evaluation, how to influence youngsters’sense of shame. In order to provides the theoretical and empirical basis for their sense of shame education. Taken together, this study, the following conclusions:1. Youth Shame-proneness Questionnaire has three dimensions, Negative self evaluation, avoidance behavior tendency and the negative emotional experience. 2. In this study, on the basis of interviews and half open-ended questionnaire, combined with the theory and conception of shame, the preparation of the Youth Shame-proneness Questionnaire. The statistical results showed that the questionnaire has acceptable reliability and validity.3. Youngsters’sense of shame exists significant differences on gender, stage, grade, family structure, educational level of parents, parents’ occupation, except the whether the only child and account type. The sense of shame of girls is higher than the boy’s; the sense of shame of middle school students is higher than the primary school students’; grade eight is a turning point in the development of the sense of shame; the complete family youngsters’ sense of shame was significantly higher than that of intact family; children whose parents’ level of education is middle and primary school have higher sense of shame; and children whose parents’ occupation is farmers and workers with high sense of shame.4. The core self-evaluation has a negative impact on the overall level of sense of shame, but for each dimension, only can negatively predict avoidance tendency.
