This study focuses on the usage of the quantitative constructions in Oracle Bone Inscriptions. In the available literature, the works concerned to the quantitative constructions of Chinese is marvelous in linguistic society, and that to the study oracle bone inscriptions’grammar as well, but few of them is focuses on the quantitative constructions in the time whereby Oracle Bone Inscriptions was the common material in literatures. Although the traditional linguistics is good at describing with experience, emphasis on induction, it can not make a satisfactory explanation on the complexity of the quantitative constructions in Oracle Bone Inscriptions, especially the occasions and syntactical layer of the various quantitative constructions. A lot of doubts remain in the researches, the credibility of the relevant conclusions also worth re-thinking. Different from the available literature, this work is based on macro-focus and microscopic expression, this article make a quantitative investigation and a thematic analysis in the quantitative constructions in Oracle Bone Inscriptions, under the guidance of the theory of word-order typology and historical linguistics. Focused on the number of expressions word-order type, functional differences and syntactical layer of different construction, while involved in the early development of the Chinese Classifiers. Basic argument is that the coexistence of a variety number of the quantitative constructions in Oracle Bone Inscriptions is surface, but in reality do not, in fact, this is a transitional phenomenon in Chinese early word-order type adjustment process. Specific to the nature of the nominal centripetal structure of the quantitative constructions in Oracle Bone Inscriptions, it is the layering phenomena in the process of the anterograde structural shift to retrograde structure transition stacked. Which has experienced a "ten" digit of its reverse anterograde structure interaction during the re-analysis of the fusion of early Chinese and other language contact, and prosodic structure disyllabicalization on priming. The conclusion of this work partly agrees with some argument of language geographic typology and the assumption of Sino-Tibetan language that the original word-order of proto-Sino-Tibetan is SOV. This study assumes that the previous process of early anterograde structure retrograding in Chinese is related to the history of the north original Hu-Di language’s South-warding. The mixing structure formed in the process hybriding resulted in the generation of the early quantifier. We can find some clues from he quantitative constructions of oracle bone inscriptions, the historical layer of the three word-order types and discourse function distribution. The thesis is divided into eight chapters: Chapter1. Introduction. Account research interests, the main topics, the basic ideas, and the object of study, research status, research objectives, and research methods.Chapter2. Review. Overview the research of the quantitative constructions in Oracle Bone Inscriptions, Chinese and Sino-Tibetan.The following four chapters are based on the discourse function and historic layer of different quantitative construction as well as their realizable packet the quantitative constructions in Oracle Bone Inscriptions dating finishing. Chapter3,4and5are substantial contents, while the Chapter6is comprehensive discussion. Namely:Chapter3. Data of the Quantitative Construction about conquest, hunting in Oracle Bone InscriptionsChapter4. Data of the Quantitative Construction about sacrifice, the number of object in Oracle Bone InscriptionsChapter5. Data of the Quantitative Construction about tribute, the amount of time in Oracle Bone InscriptionsChapter6. Comprehensive discussion on the data of the Quantitative Construction in Oracle Bone Inscriptions by Grouping and DatingChapter7. Based on the evolution of word-order typology perspective syntactic assumptions on Quantitative Constructions of a variety of oracle bone inscriptions, which lasted Department of linking syntax of the process of the early history of the number of Sino-Tibetan language expression system evolution and early quantifiers do tentative structure contemplated.Chapter8. Conclusion and Outlook. Summarizing on the contents, methods and main points of the whole research, and putting forward some questions of the future research.
