In the Oracle-bone Inscriptions at Shang dynasty, there are both "Royal Inscriptions" for the divination records of the Shang dynasty or Kings personally, and there are also some "Non-Royal Inscriptions" for the aristocratic families' divination records. With the deepening of the Oracle study, especially since the publication of “Yinxu huayuanzhuang dongdi jiagu”(2003)and the “Yinxu cunzhong cunnan jiagu”(2012),the study of Non-Royal Inscriptions has received increasing attention from scholars. This article will focus on digital materials, semantic classification system and compilation for semantic classification dictionary of Non-Royal Inscriptions. The introduction part of this article reviews the overview of Non-Royal Inscriptions in the past 100 years. While analyzing the status and problems of Non-Royal Inscriptions, the corresponding solutions are proposed. In addition, the topics and research contents of this article are explained. The first chapter uses the digital platform to digitize the present materials of Non-Royal Inscriptions. At the same time,it refers to and learns from the research results of Su Xinchun,Luo Man and other scholars' semantic classification system, and attempts to initially construct the semantic classification system of Oracle. The Oracle semantic classification system in this article is a three-level system that includes eight first-level semantic classes,33 second-level semantic classes, and 46 third-level semantic classes. In the second chapter, based on the semantic tagging of materials, the method of semantic tagging is explained. At the macro level, the results of the collation of the semantic classifications of Non-Royal Inscriptions are shown, including the distribution of the semantic classifications of Non-Royal Inscriptions. The distributive profile of the class inscriptions and the distribution of the dispositions of different literatures. In the third chapter, based on the sorting of Non-Royal Inscriptions,we classify and analyze the semantic classification and hotspots of the Women-group,Wu-group inscriptions,Zi-group inscriptions, and Huadong-group inscriptions from the microscopic perspective of the different groups. In the fourth chapter, combining the material arrangement and the semantic classification system, according to the framework of semantic classification, the NonRoyal Inscriptions are organized, and the “A Frequency Dictionary of Semantic Classification on Non-Royal Inscriptions” is compiled to provide valuable materials for the study of semantics of ancient Chinese characters. The innovation and significance of this article lies in the following two aspects:The first is to systematically characterize Non-Royal Inscriptions word for word, labeling all texts in terms of their meaning, and compiling the “A Frequency Dictionary of Semantic Classification on Non-Royal Inscriptions” to provide valuable materials and reference books for study of lexicon and semantics on Ancient Chinese or Chinese History. The second is to discuss the issues that should be paid attention to when constructing the semantic classification system from the above-mentioned semantic tagging works of Non-Royal Inscriptions and other semantic classification system. The first attempt was made to construct the semantic classification system of Oracle, and to introduce a new perspective to organize and study the Oracle materials.
