As a vassal state, North Korea send envoys to China every year in Ming dynasty. Theenvoys are not only diplomat,but also litterateurs. They wrote a lot of diaries and poetriesduring the trip or the time when they were in the capital city. The literatures are usually calledYan Xing Lu by the academic. Discovering and utilizing the Yan Xing Lu changed theboundedness Chinese academics only did the research on Chinese literature, and expandedthe angle to learn China. The way to observe China by a new perspective gets rid of thetradition and stereotype, which makes us know a more comprehensive China.This thesis mainly discusses Yongwu Poems in Yan Xing Lu compiled by Lin Jizhong.Yongwu Poems is early and mature poetry type in the history of Chinese poetry. The firstYongwu Poems in our histoty of literature is Qu Yang’Ju Song. From Qu Yuan to MingDynasty, Yongwu Poems emerges endlessly.We analyze the relationship between China and North-Korea in the history and discusstheir exchanges in the economy and culture before Ming dynasty in the chapter one. On thisbasis, we try to explore the contact between China and North-Korea in the Ming dynasty,especially the cultural exchange to know the Korea envoys’trip.Chapter two mainly tells us the process of Chinese Poetry development in Korea dynasty,introduce the origin and development of the Chinese poetry to us before north Korea dynasty.The development of Chinese poetry in Korea is influenced by Chinese poets. The opinions ofdifferent poetry genre is dissimilar in different time. The emphasis of this thesis is tointroduce the main creative ideas and their characteristics of Chinese poetry in Koreandynasty.The third chapter talks about the Yongwu Poems in ‘Yan Xing Lu’ which would beclassified as something about animal, plant, building, daily objects and natural scenery. Dailyobjects is the main item in Yongwu Poems. The envoys often describe novelty very carefullyin their poems. The envoys write Yongwu Poems to reflect the admiration for China’ wealthyand civilization as well as the thoughts for their country and close relatives.In chapter four, we analyze the artistic features of Yongwu Poems. The language inYongwu Poems is polite, and only a few poems use plain and direct language. The poets take advantage of a lot of Chinese allusions and sentences of Chinese poets’ verse in the poem,fully expressing that they have learned and borrowed a lot from China.
