Hou Dengke (1950-2003) was a documentary photographer from Shaan Xi,China. He was a transformational figure and active in the1980s. See his series of“MaiKe (Wheat Men)”, his thoughts, experience, photography photographyphotography and photographic image deeply shaken with photography."Edge"、"farmers" and "amateur" has been accompanied by a lifetime of Hou Dengke,although he was a "amateur", his image and think about calling together withconscious awareness, presented evidence of "the closest MaiKe’s history", theseimages not only witness of the vicissitude in many years, also for the all-rounddevelopment of documentary photography and humanism spirit laid a coordinate typeof visual basic,and provides a classic basic for Chinese documentary photography.And Hou Dengke “worldliness” documentary photography: photography ofbehavior、 psychology、 method、 image rendering,those also worthy for ourlearning and reference.From Hou Dengke proposed the “worldliness” concept of documentaryphotography in2002, a large number of literatures and photography works have beenthrough, from the perspective of “worldliness”in the field of photographyphotography case almost no analysis. This paper has four parts to carry out theresearch:The first part of main is overview on “worldliness” of documentary photography;The second part of main is the factors of Hou Dengke’s photography concept and thecreation background of MaiKe; The third part of main is Creative way of“worldliness” for MaiKe and image interpretation; The fourth part of main is Thevalue and limitations of MaiKe Under the documentary photography “worldliness”.
