This is a translation report on Court Interpretation: Model Guides for Policyand Practice in the State Courts. This report is supposed to summarize the propermethods and experience for translating this kind of text and to provide a reference forthe development and standardization of court interpreting in China.The report falls into four parts. Firstly, the introduction part contains thebackground of the translation project, the objective, the significance and the structureof the project. Secondly, the study background contains the theoretical basis SkoposTheory, the introduction of the source text and the author, the main content, theanalysis of the source text and the summary. Thirdly, the difficulties in translation andthe translation methods part will focus on the translation difficulties, the preparationwork and the translation methods. In the process of the translation, the primarymethod adopted is literal translation and some other techniques are used like splitting,recasting,anastrophe,conversion and annotation,etc.. Fourthly, the conclusioncontains the translation experience, the lessons from this translation project and theproblems unsolved. |
