A Translation Project Report Of Measuring Second Language Vocabulary Acquisition (Chapter4)

This is a translation project report on the chapter4of Measuring SecondLanguage Vocabulary Acquisition written by James Milton. In this chapter, the authordescribes some researches including the tests of vocabulary breath, predictions ofgrowth in vocabulary breath and vocabulary knowledge expectations in examinationand other currucula. Besides, the author designs a schedule which including specifiedtask for vocabulary leaning. The report is divided into four parts. Part one is anintroduction of the background and language feature of the project material. Part twogives a brief introduction of Nida’s equivalent theory which applied in the translationproject. Part three discusses the difficulties in translation and the adopted translationskills. Part four summarizes the lessons and unsolved problems in the translationproject.
