Wang Shuo, as a maverick and widely controversial writer on contemporary Chineseliterature, has created many novels with unique irony ridicule style. The writing style, technique,literary language, the literary forms of his novel have far-reaching consequences in the newera,and have the feature of ‘black humor’. The ‘black humor’ style in his novels is discussedfrom three aspects in this article.Chapter One: The background of "black humor" in Wang Shuo’s works. There are severalreasons from the literary background and social background. First of all, if we are going toexplore the formation of his black humor, we cannot open around the literature of American,the black humor novels of American has important influence to his black humor art; at the sametime, his black humor style also affected by the local literary creation, Wang Shuo is not thefirst person, who challenges the authority of hypocrisy, there are many existing works beforehis black humor style, but Wang Shuo is more mature, and has the characteristics of uniquestyle.Chapter Two: the showing form of Wang Shuo’s black humor art, the further analysis ofhow to build his own "black humor" according to his works. In this chapter, five aspects arediscussed in detail, such as the distinctive narrative language, inner-focusing narrativeperspective, irony narrative, typical of the "hooligan" characters and bizarre narrative context ofhis works. Linguistic carnival is the biggest characteristic of his narrative language, and itshows the language of traditional subversion and rebellion by way of the black allegory,verbose syntax, colloquial writing, and mixed language style. There are multidimensionalperspectives in his novels. The writer Wang Shuo, the protagonists "hooligan", narrator in thenovel and the reader exist in the same text space; Funny allegory art gimmick is often used inblack humor novels literary techniques, this irony in his novels and the Beijing dialect form theunique style of ironic and the narrative Keynote of the novel. The ‘hooligan’ image is adistinctive characteristic in every black humor, and is put in a dream and reality intertwinednarrative context. Chapter Three: based on the first two chapters, this chapter discusses the background ofthe black humor, and then the profound meaning, and the potential spiritual content. Threeaspects are analyzed; firstly the black humor has its own unique narrative stance on the Folkideology. There are two aspects, such as the civilian positions and the "little people" insights onlife, are mainly reflected in his novel.the black fable, black feelings. Secondly, in his novel,there is a kind of black feelings which constitute its emotional keynote of black humor,reflecting his deny to the emotional indifference and the so-called ideal and hope. However,there has spirit implied behind his rebel--on the regression of sincerity, free world, which isreflected in his different description of "Cultural Revolution" and character’s final warmthregression at the end of the novel.As a writer with distinguish writing style, Wang Shuo’s black humor is produced in acertain culture and social background. He shows his attitude for the social and life’sentertainment. There is deep thinking about the different between the surface and thebackground of the carnival, which made his black humor.
