Motivation is very important to second language learning. It can affect learning strategy, effort level, enthusiasm tocommunicate to natives, learning objectives, Learning persistence and so on.In recent years, theoretical research on Motivation is more popular. Research literature on language learning and teaching chinese as a second language increased quickly. After reading these Research literature, it is easy to find that:There is more research on Composition of motivation, but less research on relation between Composition of motivation; there is more research from the social psychological model, but less research on relation from biopsychosocial model, there is more research in their own English learners as the research object,but less research in learning Chinese as a foreign language as the foreigners, there is more research in student abroad in China, but less research in atudents abroad.The purpose of this paper is to discuss typology of motivation and motivation intensity. Including what are the motivation types, The influencing factors of motivation types. The influencing factors of motivation intensity,and Motivation types and motivation intensity correlation analysis. Through data analysis and literature research,We will also make some suggestions on teaching chinese as a second language in France.
