A Study On The Official Editing In Ming Dynasty

The official historiographer which origins very early is one of the important contents about historical culture in China. It played an important part all through the ancient society.The official historiographer takes responsibility for the special recording and compiling history. Of course,there were different specific appellations in different dynasties. Since the historical bureau was built in Tang Dynasty,the establishment of official historiographer became regular gradually.The official editing as historiographer appeared most early in the Song Dynasty and was followed by the later dynasties. The article based on the "Ming Dynasty","Ming","Da Ming Hui Dian" studies on the official editing about its establishment,selection,function,historical achievement and so on. Studies show that The official editing which belongs to the Hanlin Academy has a serious of strict procedures.The function of the official editing is so widely that not only in compiling history, notes of living history field, but also in charge of political task, such as directing documents,visiting and so on.The official editing take part in compiling a large amount of historical achievements in the Ming dynasty,which contributes greatly to save the ancient social culture. Meanwhile, they also enjoys a high status and special treatment.
