In this paper,the breakthrough point is the Frankfurt school’s aesthetic theory,and the paper mainly discusses the historic change of aesthetic theory from aesthetic utopia recommended by the first generation of Frankfurt school to aesthetic discouse by Habermas,in order to understand the historic transformation of the social critical theory of Frankfurt school.The paper mainly includes four parts.The first part is the introduction.The second part discusses the issue of aesthetic utopia.The third part discusses aesthetic discourse theory and the political and ethical transformation of social critical theory. The fourth part briefly combes the development of aesthetics and the enlightenment to China.Chapters specific is as follows:The first chapter,first of all,discusses the reason of my choice.The transformation of aesthetic role in the historical vicissitude of social critical theory is a historic significance to grasp the western theory of social trends.and also has theoretical and realistic significance to explore the socialist reform of China.The second chapter,mainly discusses the origin.building and trouble of aesthetic utopia.First,the paper discusses that the early Frankfurt school theorists comprehensively and thoroughly criticize the developed capitalist socity and return to the last position of aesthetic utopia.Second,it discusses the construction of the aesthetic utopia.including Adorno’s aesthetic star cluster,Marcuse’s aesthetic dimension and Benjamin’s cultural redemption.Third,it reflects on the cultural pessimism of the early critical theory due to full negative to socity,and falls into the predicament of the aesthetic utopia.Habermas tries hard to get out of this dilemma.The third chapter,is mainly around the theory of Habermas and the political and ethical turning.First.it discusses the reconstruction of aesthetic discourse based on the theory of communicative action from three aspects.including the normative basis.critique of modernity and communicative mediation.Second.it discusses the transformation of political ethics,and discusses the recognition theory of Honneth from three aspects,putting forward the acknowledge.debate with Fraser and the construction of the good life.Third.it reflects on the aesthetic discourse based on Habermas’s theory of communicative action. The fourth chapter,mainly discusses the aesthetic-history and the significance of the Frankfurt school’s theory to the construction of the harmonious society in China.First,in the basis of tracing the aesthetic development,it discusses the transformation of aesthetics from aesthetic utopia to aesthetic discourse,and points out the same purpose in the different ways of three generations’critical theory of Frankfurt school.Second,it discusses the significance of three generations’critical theory of Frankfurt school to the chinese aesthetic culture and the construction for the harmonious society.
