The tone sandhi is the phenomenon of sound change when the syllable into the sequences, it is directly linked to the voice level and tone step, stress, intonation, interrelated with the specific semantic parts of speech and grammatical structure of phrase in the semantic and grammatical level. The syntax and semantics ultimately presented in the form of the voice, in turn, the voice in the different form can reveal differences in syntax, semantics, this article is to solve some parsing problem by Phonetic Changes. This article is to analyze the grammatical structure of phrase perspective of the third tone sandhi in Mandarin. The paper is divided into four parts:First is to introduce the third tone sandhi Research of modern Chinese; Second is the introduction of context-free grammar and dichotomy; Third is experimental Analysis of the third tone sandhi in Mandarin; Fourth is the study results. In this thesis, the method of experimental phonetics was used to analyze the third tone sandhi in Mandarin. In the phonetic experiment part, the recording data of two informant are measured by the phonetic software Praat and we get the Fo value of each syllable in all the sequences, as Fo value is the most important factor to determine the tone category. Then the Fo values are converted to Chao’s tone letters which are convenient for us to see the tonal behaviors of the sequences. When Trisyllabic sequences is1+2pattern, the sandhi mode is "21+35+214"; When Trisyllabic sequences is2+1pattern, the sandhi mode is "35+35+214", When Trisyllabic sequences is parallel pattern, the sandhi mode is "35+35+214". In turn, According to the correspondence relationship to identify grammatical structure of phrase, which can recognize the phrase that have controversial combinations. In terms of context-free grammar, The rules of third tone sandhi in Trisyllabic sequences:1+2pattern,21+35+214;2+1pattern,35+35+214. Conversely, if we determine what kind of tone sandhi mode, we can determine the grammatical structure of phrase according to the corresponding relationship of the tone sandhi and the dichotomy. Or, make sure that cannot be described by context-free grammars.
