Since the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh CPC CentralCommittee, our rural society has undergone enormous changes.The most remarkable one of the changes is the class differentiationin rural society. Owing to the adjustment of rural economic policy,the loosening of household registration system, the changes infarmer’s traditional values and the development of townshipenterprises, the rural society is divided from one class (thepeasantry) into various social classes. Class differentiations hasbroken the existing isolated and closed state in rural society,changed the social basis and economic basis in rural society,rebuild the class structures and social structure in rural society,and changed the social attributes of the social stratum and ways ofthinking and behaving of members in rural society.Class differentiation has completely changed the rural society,exerted a tremendous influence on the rural society. It not onlyimproves development of rural economy, but also expanded theParty’s governing foundation. It increases the number of benefitingsubjects in the rural society, diversifies the social member’s values, increases the social member’s mobility, and increases the incomegap. From the perspective of relationship between differentiationand integration, development indicates the differentiation, anddifferentiation promises integration. To promote theclass differentiation in rural society processing reasonably andorderly, and to eliminate the negative effect of class differentiation,this paper from five aspects briefly discusses the thoughts andcountermeasures of rural social political integration: adhering tothe socialist ideology as the ideological foundation for ruralpolitical integration; promoting the socialist core value as thepolitical protection for rural political integration; coordinating theinterest relations among the social strata as an economic platformfor rural economic integration; strengthening the building ofgrass-rooted organization of Party as a powerful subject forprocessing political integration; perfecting rules and regulations toensure the stabilization of rural political system.
