Mine ventilation system which will change with its underground production varies,is one ofthe important systems to ensure mine safety. Therefore, timely investigation and evaluation of themine ventilation,optimization of it according to the problems existed in it is of great significance.This paper is a study of the ventilation system of a large copper mine in Anhui. Accordingto characteristics of the copper mine,the heavy intensity of the copper mine production,thequantity of the middle panel work,the widely distribution of operating points, the busytransportation of the panel trackless equipment and other characteristics of mine ventilationsystem, after a comprehensive investigation and determination of the mine, a detailed evaluationof the mine ventilation made from the ten applications of mental mine is carried out.The resultsshow that the absent of the sub-fan station for the difficulty to set it,the inadequate ventilationstructures and other reasons, lead to the unreasonable allocation of the air flow of the middleproduction, and thus lead to a low effective air flow rate of the mine, low passing rate of windspeed, low air quality compliance rate, all these resulting in an unefficienct ventilation of themiddle panel.Based on the analysis of the unreasonable distribution of the air flow, and seriousshort-circuit of air flow and other major problems and reasons, according to the actual situation ofmine,we made three unified technical program as follows, adding two fan base stations in themining panel useing air curtain technology, useing the DK series fan in the return air fan sites andadding two auxiliary fan base stations and combining the primary ventilation system withsecondary one, established nearly400database ventilation tunnel network solver file of theventilation paddrameters, using three-dimensional simulation system software to optimizecalculation and compared the unified technical program and with the system analysis andcomparison of the technical, economic, and ventilation efficiency and other aspects of theproposed mine ventilation system solutions, finally we choose the program to combine the mainand auxiliary ventilation system.According to the implementation of the program, on the basis of successful research in themiddle of the panel3#air field trials,we promote the use of the program in the mine. The resultsshow that mining air curtain which can replace the wall of the wind turbine base stations, realizethe effective and rational allocation of the air flow of the middle, reduce short-circuit of air flow,improve the ventilation in the mine, solute to the difficulty the difficult to set up auxiliary fan andfan base stations in the transport pit, and provide a new and effective ventilation which worth awidely application to the mechanical panel ventilation.
