As one of the key technologies which promote the rapid development of Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems(MEMS), micro injection molding technology faces the difficulty of polymers filling into the micro cavities. In order to solve this problem, ultrasonic plasticizing rheometer is studied and designed. The data processing system of ultrasonic plasticizing rheometer is studied in this thesis. The main research work is as follows:According to the requirement of testing the rheological properties of polymers, the principles of ultrasonic plasticizing rheometer were analyzed. The theories of rheological properties testing were studied. The algorithm of the main viscosity parameters, which represent the rheological properties of polymers, was designed. A new method using cubic spline function and Thomas Algorithm to solve non Newtonian index was proposed. And improvement was made to fix the deficiency in the former ultrasonic plasticizing rheometer. A data acquisition system, equipped with sensors, a data acquisition card and a PC was designed. The selection and purchase of these components were completed, and the constructed system was tested in order to check its reliability and accuracy. UltraRheo software was designed in the ultrasonic plasticizing rheometer. Based on Unified Modeling Language(UML) and Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA) methods, the modeling process of the software was specified. Requirement analysis and general design were conducted. Various views and standard documents for the user model, the static model and the dynamic model were established. Finally, UltraRheo software was detailed designed and developed with Visual Basic6.0. The software interface and the function of UltraRheo software were designed, the main functions include collecting and preserving experimental data, analysing ultrasonic plastification process and calculating plasticizing rate, testing and analysing rheological performance. Ultrasonic plasticizing rheometer was tested and the polymer rheological testing process was investigated. The UltraRheo software was used to analyze the rheological testing results and to get the viscosity data which change with the change of shear rates, as well as to validate the viscosity algorithm and data processing system.
