Profile is the most important index of the plate and strip quality. It directlydetermines the competitive force of the plate and strip in the market. In order toenhance the value of the plate and strip products and to win more users, Ironand steel enterprises must pursue the good profile quality into a first-class status.In today’s cold-rolled production, there are many advanced profile controlmeans and technologies. However, the roll bending technology which is uniquein today’s cold-rolled production is widely used in this area. It has become anindispensable technology in a number of the profile control means. Therefore,researching the influence of the roll bending technology for the profile is aninteresting subject.This paper taking the4-high plate and strip cold rolling mill as the objectof study and for the purpose of precise control of the roll bending force on theprofile, focused strongly on the impact factor of the roll system elasticflattening, derived by the theory and established a new and more perfect platecrown model mathematical model. And do the following work:In the second chapter, it including the knowledge of the profile, as well asthe basic principles and methods for the profile control, focuses on therelationship between the plate crown and flatness. Summed if obtained the goodprofile, it is necessary to strictly control the accuracy of the plate crown in therolling process.In the third chapter, through discussing the roll system elastic deformationtheory, using the Winkler’s elastic foundation beam method and combining withknowledge of the elastic deformation between the roll systems, a mathematicalmodel of the impact of the bending force on the plate crown was established.And using the model calculated the seven plate crown values corresponding tothe different bending force under the different conditions.In the forth chapter, applying the explicit dynamics finite element softwareANSYS/LS-DYNA, a finite element model of the4-high plate and strip cold rolling mill was established. Utilizing the model simulated and calculated theseven plate crown values corresponding to the different bending force under thedifferent conditions, simultaneously, analyzed the impact of the bending forceon the strip and plate exit thickness.In the fifth chapter, compared the calculation results of the plate crownmathematical model with the finite element results and the experimental data,the results were basically consistent, which validated the correctness of themathematical model of plate crown.In this article, the combination of theoretical calculations, finite elementsimulation and experimental validation provides a more accurate mathematicalmodel, which can set the reasonable bending force in advance. This has certainsignificance for the production practice.
