Gaochang Clothing Research Of Tang And Song Dynasty

The Gaochang located in the hub of the Silk Road, a variety of cultural fusioning there. Because of Gaochang on the border, the historical records of Gao (especially the Song Dynasty Gao) is relatively few. Seventies and eighties of the twentieth century, Dunhuang, Turpan learn to become an international school of learning, attracting the attention of many scholars, there has been studying the climax of the Gaochang history. The Gaochang clothing culture as one of the most important part of studying. Since the beginning of the20th century, Turpan in succession to explore the ancient tombs of the Tang and Song Dynasties and cultural sites, this provides important material for the study during the Tang and Song Gao clothing and related social problems. This paper on the basis of previous research, combined with Gao’s social profiles, literature and historical records and archaeological findings and other information on the Gaochang clothing for a more systematic study.Various types of information found from the current analysis, this period the Gaochang clothing types and styles of caps, hair style, clothing, and ornaments. And Gaochang clothing types at this time also changes the Tangxi state period, Gaochang clothing show strong Chinese style; in the late Tang to Gaochang period,the Gaochang clothing show strong multi-cultural tendencies.This paper tries to explore the Gaochang clothing materials and types on the basis of the combination of the factors of the the Gaochang special natural and geographical environment and the complex ethnic composition, and further reveal the the Gaochang clothing demonstrated regionality, diversity, change and grade characteristics.
